The Milton H. Erickson Institute – IMHEP was created in May 2006 by Regina Nohra, psychologist, hypnotherapist and pedagogue, with the purpose of transmitting the great legacy of Doctor Milton H Erickson, North American psychiatrist, father of Natural Hypnosis and creator of Ericksonian techniques.

Natural Hypnosis was created by Dr. Milton H. Erickson and is a method that uses Ericksonian techniques that can be used in any psychotherapeutic approach with great effectiveness and can considerably reduce treatment time.
Milton H Erickson, psychiatrist and hypnotherapist born in Aurum Nevada, United States, left his contribution in different areas: Clinical, social, business, educational and family. This legacy has since been disseminated by his disciple Jeffrey Zeig, president of the Milton H. Erickson Foundation, located in Phoenix, Arizona. The Foundation recognizes several Milton H. Erickson Institutes, affiliated in different countries, including the Ericksonian Center of Mexico – CEM, represented by Dr. Teresa Robles and the Milton H. Erickson Institute of Petrópolis – IMHEP, whose President Director is Regina Nohra .
